This pumpkin was purchased in late October for Halloween 2008. It has set on the front porch facing the South since that time.
It was there for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter seasons. Today the Blushing Bride said it was time for the pumpkin to be gone. There are no mushy spots on it. It has greened up a little and the stem is fairly well dried out.

Nanas Easter Egg Hunt 2009
Fearless Will grabs the first egg of the season from the backyard.
Gus, his high speed older brother moves into action.
Searching for Easter eggs is hard work, especially when you are surrounded by them.
It would seem that all three boys were satisfied by their individual successes. Although at this point there were still eggs loose in the yard.
Dying eggs for Easter is an old family tradition plus they make a good colorful egg salad later in the week.
Let there be no doubt in your mind that Nana also had a great time with some of her grandchildren.
Will is a serious egg dyer. He likes to do projects regardless of what it is.
Here is Will assisting Cheez with the final sanding of a rifle stock going through repairs. Will was seriously working that 600 grit paper.
As you can see everyone is a critic. Here, Beaner is checking the smoothness of the stock to make sure it was done right.
Cute and
Cuter
One final inspection to make sure the stock is ready for the finishing coat of Tung Oil.
This chocolate egg would be even better if not for that stupid foil cover.
There has to be a way to get the foil cover off of these things.
Cute, coy and ready to play Lacrosse.
Have stick, just need a ball and maybe a little motivation.
Into the Treasure Chest we go.
Me too.
I have been waiting all day for someone to open this.
Cheez told Nana years ago to keep all of those Little People Houses, Yeah Cheez.
Lets put some of those Little People in the airplane.
This is called a Toy Roundup. This happens when you herd all the backyard toys back into their hideaways.
Darn I'm cute.
I sure had a lot of fun today. Mom, when are we coming back?

The Flower Garden Grows
The Blushing Bride took these photos for the Power Point portion of her college course. These are pictures of her April Flowers. They are either in her flower beds or came from her flower beds.
Roses from her rose bushes.
The Bluebird house stands empty at the moment. Mom, Dad and family have suddenly left the area. According to those in the know Bluebirds take their fledglings elsewhere to teach them to fly. We hope all is well with them and await the next nesting go around.
Jasmine
A Rose
Cactus Flowers
Pansies
Another Rose
And still another Rose
Geraniums
Turk's Cap
Gazania
Petunias
Plumbago
Clematis
Verbena
Zinnias
More Verbena
Gazanias
A picture of the "guard cat" who makes all things possible on the property. While he may seem laid back, he is keeping a wary eye on the property while laid out on the backyard swing in the shade.
